Whiskey Sour

Frothy whiskey-based drink with strong citrus flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz whiskey
  • 1 oz triple sec
  • 1/2 oz lemon or lime juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 1/8 oz Sambucca
  • Egg White



  • Drizzle a very small amount of Sambuca into the bottom of a double rocks glass and twist the glass all around to wash the whole inside of the glass with the Sambuca.


    In an empty Boston cocktail shaker, combine whiskey, triple sec, simple syrup, egg white and lemon/lime juice and shake for 1 minute. Put ice cubes in and shake for 10 seconds then pour the contents of the Boston strained into a double rocks glass that has two large clear ice cubes. Should have a good froth on to (It's good without the egg too but no froth).


    Garnish with sliced orange peel approximately 1.5" long by 0.5" wide and add a cherry.
