Braunschweiger Ball

Savoury but an acquired taste

Ingredients




In a medium sized bowl mix softened cream cheese with 2 Tablespoons mayonnaise until smooth and spreadable. Set aside.


In a large bowl and with a mixer, mix braunschweiger, chili sauce, horseradish, and hot sauce. Beat until well mixed and refrigerator covered until it firms up.


Form braunschweiger mixture into a ball. Using a small spatula, spread cream cheese mixture evenly over the ball creating a dome that covers the entire top of the ball.


Slice olives carefully to make sure you have a red pimento inside each slice. I use whole green olives because they have a better chance of keeping the pimentos inside. Press each slice all around the cream cheese dome. Serve with crackers.
